Hey guys so basically I got rejected to all the 5 uc’s that I applied to but I am part of ELC so I wanted to know what’s the next step? Am I gonna get an email from them or do I have to contact someone?

Bump please help

If you are ELC they are mandated to find you a spot. It will more than likely be at Merced, but they have to take you. I would talk with your GC at school and make sure they sent your ELC information to UC. Did you ever receive a letter from UC stating your ELC status?

I never received a letter from them but after I finished my uc app, I got a message saying “congratulations you are in the top 9% and guaranteed a spot”

Hi ladoo786-
Next step is to contact your guidance counselor.
The guarantee, as you have learned, is not necessarily with the top 5 UCs…but in the UC system overall…per the site:[Eligibility in the Local Context (ELC) Program | UCOP](http://www.ucop.edu/student-affairs/programs-and-initiatives/undergraduate-admissions/elc/)
“California high school students who are eligible in the statewide context or eligible in the local context and are not admitted to any campus to which they apply will be offered a spot at another campus if space is available.”

Wishing you the best. You have worked hard-and are to be commended for earning a spot in the top 9% of your high school.

Did you print or save that message at the end of your application? Maybe you can find it and email it to the schools that rejected you as well as give a copy to your GC. Don’t give up, you worked hard for this.
