Hello guys, I am a high school senior and I applied to UCSC and got rejected. UCSC was my first choice and I really had my heart set on going there. I feel like it is the only place i can really see myself next year. I appealed and the appeal didn't work. I feel like I can't just give up. So is there anything that I can do, or is it a lost cause.

in case you wanted to know I had a 3.4 gpa and a 1700 SAT

I know of a few people who got invited to UCSC after an initial rejection and appeal rejection. It had something to do with how each department accepts a certain number of students into its program, and they just happened to have extra room after everyone had SIR’ed. But this is the slimest of slim chances.

no I wasent offered a wait list option.
I actually read about someone on this forum talking about the same situation, the person was denied and the school went back and told them they were in. I am going to send them another letter after may first. So maybe if this situation does happen I have a little better chance.
