Hey guys, one of my friends got the dreaded letter notifying her of rejection from the uiuc. I thought her stats gave her a good chance but it turned out otherways. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to appeal this at all?? or perhaps any way around this to get a second chance?

what were her stats?

what school did she apply to?

She applied to UIUC, and she got a 29 on her act. She is in the upper 20th percentile of the class. She did soccer for all her high school career and landed on the varsity team last year. Compared with the kids that were admitted at my school, i thought she had a very decent shot. So you guys know of any ways to appeal, or have them relook?

which school in UIUC?

there are multiple. There is a business school, liberal arts school, engineering school, among others. the business and engineering schools are the most competitive.

Oh sorry, it was the liberal arts school - her major was political science. I don't think that is really that hard to get into right?

yeah, that is sorta easy to get into. so, i guess she could apply to a different school, but i don't know if she can study political science at any other school.

So anyone know of any ways to get them to reconsider? I thought for sure that she was going to get in...

i have no idea how she can appeal the decision...

hmmm.. what's her ethnicity? actual gpa?
