Remedial Math Class Pass/NoPass vs Letter grade??

Hi guys,

So I have a 3.85 GPA right now.

And I am taking my last remedial math class right now intermediate algebra but I think I'm gonna finish with a strong C.

I have all A's and B's on my transcript and I don't want a C to stand out in my transcript.

Since it is a remedial class and it's not factored into my CC GPA and UC's GPA, should I take the option and receive it as a "Pass" instead of a letter grade "C"?? Will it look bad?

Or should I just take the letter grade of a C?

What are the pros and cons?

Isn’t the Pass/No Pass option at the beginning of the semester? At least I am sure that is what my college does. How many classes have you taken, if you already have a lot of units getting a C shouldn’t hurt your GPA to much. I don’t see a problem with Pass/No Pass because you would still need to take a higher transferable math course to transfer, and as much as a C would hurt if you decide to do another Pass/No Pass would be worse. Or the limit might be 3-4.

It doesn’t really matter since they will completely ignore that class during admissions.

It doesn’t really matter. They look at your UC transferable GPA and an intermediate algebra class isn’t transferable, they won’t take it into account.
