I got an email today, it was a reminder for tomorrow....
So nice from Middlebury!

I got it, too, at 2:17pm. I assume it went out to all applicants.

I’m not too hopeful for tomorrow though, especially since I was just rejected from Vassar and Wesleyan, and I was deferred from Midd ED1. Oh well! I’ll be happy at Brandeis. Good luck everyone!

aghhh i was deferred from Midd and rejected by Wesleyan as well! i’m sorry but you know what, we’ll all be at great colleges come fall!

It sucks, doesn’t it? Haha at least I have someone to moan with. Is Midd still your top choice? I love it (way more than all my other schools), but I’m trying not to so that the disappointment won’t be too much to handle.

I was rejected by Wesleyan and Vassar too.

I got waitlisted at both Wesleyan and Colby today. Hopefully Middlebury has better news - but right now I highly doubt it =/

I’m sorry, Adidas I know how you feel. Amber, I was also waitlisted at Colby. At least you still have a chance for Wes! Good luck.

Just for your information Middlebury has the reputation for accepting students by having … quite different criteria…
You can see and in other threads of these forum that students that got admitted to the Ivies got rejected to Midd… and applicants that was rejected or waitlisted to many “lower” lacs or universities to get a spot for Midd…
AND that is because Midd evaluates in context and pays a lot attention to each and every applicant…

So don’t get down… Cheer up!!!

Hope to see you in Middlebury… BEST WISHES !!!

I got the reminder too although I don’t think I would have forgotten

Thanks Dede, I guess our call is Middlebury! lol anyways if I would have been accepted to Wesleyan and Midd, I wouldve chosen midd lol so no loss…Good luck everyone and hopefully things work like MiddKidGR says, and we will get in cos we rock!

Did everyone’s reminder say…
This is a reminder that Middlebury’s admissions decisions are available online tomorrow morning (Saturday, March 26) beginning at 8 am EDT. Students who are not admitted are also reminded that they will only receive electronic notification of that decision by accessing the website below and will not receive a letter in the mail.

Amber,

I think that is the identical wording to the email my Son received prior to ED2 decisions and he was accepted. Don’t worry about the wording. Here’s wishing you and everyone else GL tom. AM!!!

ahh this is so crazy. every college is about the same, selectivity wise, in terms of the numbers, but hopefully they really all look for different things/evaluate us differently. colby, wesleyan, vassar…dayum this is intense.
@dedede-- yes, Middlebury is DEFINITELY still my top choice, but i’m really trying not to get my hopes up! i’m glad we can all moan about this together
but good luck to everyone!!! hopefully we all have good news come morning…

I’m sorry, but you’d think that for the $65 application fee, they could spare 44 cents to mail a real rejection letter. I don’t want to kill a bunch of trees or anything, but this seems really cheap.

Ah, but you’re forgetting the 13 cents they have to pay for the envelope, ink, and paper. Expensive stuff…

we are like 14 hrs away!

Less than 10 hrs to goooooooo

Sent from my ADR6300 using CC App

Less than 10 hours away, ditto :)

Oregonianmom - Haha, it’s not at all about the 44 cents. The people who are rejected often feel that it is unnecessary for the college to keep on reminding them about the decision. They first see it online and then via paper mail. That’s the reason, I believe.

I REALLY HOPE I GET INTO MIDDLEBURY TODAY.
I mean, I’ve been waitlisted twice (from Washington and Lee and Hamilton) today and still have no acceptances :(

yay for all vassar and wesleyan rejectees! i’m in uvm… which is so close… yet so far… from middlebury. ACCCCCCKKK!!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! can’t sleep.
