Reminder - Keep the STATS thread for STATS ONLY! Discuss on other threads! Thanks!

Please try to keep the STATS thread nice and clean so future applicants can find the information they need without having to sift through pages of questions about other things! Feel free to start new threads with your great questions and they will be answered more quickly!!!

Thanks!

Hi! Another reminder - please don’t discuss or post “chance” requests on the Descisions stats only thread - you will not receive any chances there, so start a new thread! THANKS!

Reminder - keep the stats thread tidy - stats only on the stats only thread!

Thanks

Another reminder - PLEASE don’t post your questions on the STATS thread - start a new thread!!!

^this isn’t the stats thread!

lawls.

alamemom posted that because somebody posted a question in the STATS ONLY thread.

when people post in the stats only thread, applicants’ hearts skip a beat… only to see that its just a question, not an acceptance.

It’s now March 6 - does anybody know when and how USC will announce decisions (for everyone who wasn’t already accepted with a presidential or trustee scholarship)? Current Trojans - please chime in!

I years past, waves of admissions came out approximately weekly starting in late February through the end of March.

In December and January this year, 2011 applicants who attended tours and “Meet USC” sessions posted that admissions reps told them the wave system would not occur this year - instead there would be a single wave of admissions around March 20th.

As we have seen no admissions since the scholarship wave, it seems those reports were accurate. The current guess is that in about two weeks* we will see packages start to arrive. One question that remains is if rejections will come at that same time, or if they will be sent the first week of April as they were in the past.

*I would not be surprised if packages start to arrive a bit earlier - it appears to me that USC likes to get the news out and excitement going prior to UCLA and UC Berkeley releasing decisions, which is usually the third week of March.

It is getting CLOSE! Good luck to all!!!

*A note about “how:” USC has traditionally notified by snail mail (and that is how the January admits found out), so I expect that to remain the same this year.

alamemom, is there any reports of transfers being included in this giant wave?

thanks a lot, alamemom.

you’re always so helpful and supportive!

it looks look it wont be long! crosses fingers

Students who apply as transfers to USC will be notified of admission on or before June 1, 2011.

Last year 9,590 students applied for transfer admission.

Thanks, alamemom and georgia girl - fingers crossed is right.

Bumping this…
