<p>You're in the top 5% of your class. That seems good to me as long as you have good ECs and maybe some good "hooks" or whatever.</p>

well trojan thanks for the concern but what I realy wanted to know was whether rank cud break a person. i have a hook like thing. tests score is 2170 [1500]
ECs...i emphasize leadership. although its quite varied. </p>

<p>Well one of my friend's brother is in the M&T program right now (his 5th year at Penn now and is one of the top students in the program). He applied as an RD, and was 3rd or 4th out of ~400 students. SAT's, he got an 800 math and 7xx reading, was the captain of the football team, captain of the wrestling team, went to odyssey of the mind worlds every year at high school, pretty much outstanding EC's and grades. </p>
<p>He said the kids in the M&T program are some of the smartest and most involved kids he's ever met. They only admit like 50-100 kids, so you really need to have something outstanding to make up for your rank if you want a shot.</p>

and yeah _____ i know 2 grads from M&T and 1 current student. they said it shard as hell. </p>
