"An eight-year B.A./B.S.-M.D. program for exceptionally talented undergraduates. Admission to the REMS program is highly competitive. Students accepted to REMS are also accepted to the School of Medicine and Dentistry upon completion of the bachelor's degree while meeting GPA requirements."

University of Rochester : Learning : Combined Degrees

The program accepts about 10 students a year from a highly competitive pools of around 700 or so applications. Its hard to get into, but if you do get in the perks are auto admission to med school.

stephrad21, in addition to high statistics we look for applicants who show an interest in medicine. This could be in the form of volunteering at a hospital, doing research, or shadowing a doctor. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Rems is notorious for being extremely difficult to get into. Not that that's a bad thing; it simply means that Rems is an Ivy-quality opportunity...with Ivy-plus quality acceptance rates. Seriously, I think Copernicus would have gotten rejected.

so, can we even hv a chance if we dont fulfill the Dec 1st deadline...i can def. turn in everything by jan 1st deadline.....
