Repeating JC courses prior to transfer to UC

Hi guys!

I've been taking classes at a JC throughout the past six years, while I've worked full-time and traveled a bit. I'm ready to finally transfer to a UC!

If I took major prep courses for Political Science at a JC that I attended 5-6 years ago, and received a C in two of the classes, what happens if I re-take those courses at the JC that I'm currently at (different city), and receive an A? Will the two grades be averaged out? Will the UC even consider my second grade, or will they only go with the first grade? I know that you can't repeat a course if you receive a C while at the same JC, but not sure how it works when re-taking the course at a different college...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

you are not allowed to retake a C, if you do it won’t matter and will not replace it.

it doesn’t matter where you take it that’s the deal.

you could do better in your other prereq courses and you can sign a TAG also if you fulfill the requirements
