Repeating Junior Year

I am from India, currently in my junior year - I just gave my first semester exams and the result is pretty good (though I can do better)
Because of my father's work, we will have to shift elsewhere soon. It's not a compulsion, but our current living arrangement leads to economic burden as well as lots of hours are lost in traveling (for him)
So, I think it will be better to shift next year, but there's a slight problem - it's nearly impossible to get admission into senior year directly. I will have to repeat junior year.

I am wondering what impact will that have on my college application (I intend to apply in the US) Will my age be of disadvantage? (I will be 19 when I apply, if I choose to repeat)
Will my chances go down just because I chose to repeat, even though it wasn't because of terrible grades?

Thanks.

You have a good excuse just be sure you elaborate on it for your college applications

Skipping junior year… Why lol

I know I have an “excuse” but my question still stands - does it make a difference at all? Repeating for reasons other than failing? Does anyone have an idea?

Argh. Reply, misters and misses.
