Reply from Admissions Officer regarding my appeal

We have received your letter and have forwarded it to the College of Business Admissions Chair. Please realize that very few appeals succeed and you must display either a new reason not on the application or make a good case as to why you should be accepted. The College of Business Admissions Chair will contact you regrading the decision.

Probably no shot to reverse decision.

Good luck. I'm appealing my decision to U-Florida.

all emails have been forwarded to the chair.

have fun at Depaul

I will. Thanks! Keep on having fun at U of I.

fatseal11// Attend UIUC. Even economics degree (which could be a great option if you don't get into business college) from UIUC should be better than Depaul.

when it comes down to it, its how you network and present yourself to recruiters. if you think you can "spin" your economics degree to say a banking recruiter than go U of I

how good is economics at U of I?

its good but not phenominal

Just got emailed back. She said they take appeals very seriously and should make a decision within 1 or two weeks.

Good luck! I have a friend who is appealing her decision to the University of Florida.

Also, you may want to look at this thread:

appeal denied.

I have sent in my appeal and they haven't acknowledged it yet. I'm positive they received it though.

Guess it may be a good sign, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I highly doubt they'll change their decision unless there really was a mistake accidentally made in my review.

That was the whole point of my appeal at least. I just wanted to ensure I really was considered for General Studies. If the decision stands, then I'll at least be able to move on knowing I was reviewed in my applications intended entirety.
