Maybe I should say:</p>

<p>Nothing, but it’s kind of polite…

<p>Honestly, they really don’t give a flying **** about you once you’re rejected. It’s pretty much the sad truth. They care about ALL of their applicants, yes, but once decisions are made you can be sure they have enough to worry about than all the rejected students. If you send this letter, don’t expect them to do anything more than read it and toss it out; they MIGHT get a tiny bit of relief that at least it’s not a letter begging, “OMG Please let me in!” but that’s it.
But hell, if you still wanna send it, go ahead. Maybe you have more decency than someone like me, and maybe we could use more people who are polite just for the sake of it.</p>

<p>Replying to a college rejection is like replying to a job rejection. You can do it if it would make you feel better, but nobody will care.</p>
<p>Don’t do it. Haha it’s a waste of time, and they won’t care at all.
They’re probably used to thousands of angry letters/begging for second chance letters.</p>
<p>I agree the school would likely only view the letter as being pointless to any extent where it could matter. I would not suggest one to linger over a school that they were rejected from, it does not help.</p>

<p>I am sorry that I must reject your rejection letter… See you in the fall!</p>
