Report AP scores before admission?

I will be a senior next year and am applying to several colleges. I have sent them my standardized test scores (SAT, ACT, SAT subject tests) and have planned my applications. I received my AP scores by phone today and did very well. I'm wondering whether or not it would help me if I reported these scores to the selective schools on my list (before I have even sent in my application). I realize that the admissions personnel will see that I took 2 AP classes and made all As, but I also took other AP exams and they have no way of knowing how I performed on the actual exams without a score report. The cost of reporting the scores is not an issue, I'm just wondering whether or not college admissions personnel actually look at AP scores (for admissions and/or scholarship purposes) if I send them in. Thanks in advanced for any help. I looked online but couldn't find an answer anywhere else.

You will list your grades on the AP exams in the application, so they will see them. You don’t need official reports for these generally.

Colleges accept self-reported AP scores at face value, I don’t think it’s going to help you to send an official score report as well. An exception is NYU (there may be others) that accepts AP scores in lieu of other testing. I recommend just waiting and sending AP score reports to the school where you matriculate.

Thanks for the feedback.
