I slept through the PSAT when I took it junior year

You guys are just full of excuses aren't you.

I don't get my scores until February

ivoyable...you can't get a 55 reading and then tell people that you could have busted out a 240 if you tried. it makes you sound like a loser.

One percentile off.

CR-77
M-52 (AAAAHHH! I fail at SAT math, but do well at ACT math--huh)
W-77

So, 206. I'm pleased, except for the math score.

Thanks Panda! The inconsistency just didn't make sense.

166 (lol!)

57 CR
51 M
58 W

210; CR 72, M 65 and W 73. My SAT was a lot better., 2280. Does anyone know what the NMSC cut-off for Ohio was last year? I'm hoping I can make it...

I think Ohio is like 213 or something?

228
(80 CR, 72 M, 76 W)

Never thought 3 questions could cost me 12 pts! Damn these harsh curves for the two sections I'm not so great at lol. But really, I'm not gonna complain.

I still don't know! My school has had the scores for a week or more, but they won't release them until everyone can get together and have an official sit-down session with the counselor to explain "what the scores all mean." >_<

Cholitrain...you can't say something like that about someone you don't know without knowing the situation. It makes you sound like a retard.

I know you got a good score. This test isn't anything special and acing it doesn't make anyone smart. Get over it. You probably are smart, but not because of a test like this.

^don't worry I did relatively bad on my PSAT last year too. but I worked my ass of for the SAT and bumped up 200 pts. however going from a 55-->240 is kinda a stretch...

Can someone post some of the questions on the Writing Section? [And their answers, if possible] That's the one I'm most worried about.

Particularly some question involving "argument" vs. "argumentation"...

[Wednesday Test]

Individual scores were inconsistent; I scored ten points lower on my math section than I did on the CR section, and math is supposedly my best subject. My math section was highest on the SATs, too.

My parents were all "Yay!" but all I could think about was how much my scores sucked.

CR 72 (I got a 75 sophomore year. Ugh.)
Math 74 (I wanted 75 for RSI)
Writing 80 (Yay!)

I agree with ChoklitRain. Invoyable, I don't see why you need to tell us why you didn't get a scored that you think you could of, especially if you think the test is flawed in the first place. Stop looking for lame excuses to compensate for your mediocre CR because your not impressing anyone. It seems like most of your posts are composed of you talking about how "lazy" you are and yet you still seem to get nearly perfect scores.

How exactly do those scores suck...?

73 CR
80 M
75 W
228 overall

What's weird is that I suck at Math (B in PreCalc Honors right now..argh) but excel at English. Whatever, I'm pretty sure I'm a semifinalist, so I'm happy. I also think I got the highest score at my school.

It seems, that rereading my posts, that I do come off as a sort of whiner who is complaining about his score. It's sad how much I come off as caring about such a test.

I'm out. Hats off to everyone that perhaps got "offended". I won't derail this thread any further. (of course, I don't have any feelings towards anyone...and I think I've gotten an impression of Chok and euphoria enough to know that they aren't the type to get off on e-fights...or maybe..)

But this part is totally bs, as I don't get nearly perfect scores at all.

In fact, I've indicated that I have a 2.5 GPA...which is beyond comprehension akin to genocide in Darfur in these forums.

Don't worry, I'm not one of those "super-genius-but-lazy" type of people. I'm lazy, but I never received my share of intelligence in genetics. I'm not considered smart at all, and I'm going to end up at either my local community college or some UC.

Personally, Invoyable, I think you're a bit too modest. You're a smart dude, for sure, with your PSAT score. Whether or not you care about your grades or not, if you can pull off a score like that with a really laid-back attitude, you've got some intelligence.
