<p>I did horrible compared to all of you...153.
I'm extremely upset. =/ I DESPERATELY need to prep for next year.</p>
<p>I got a 202 (68 CR, 69 M, 65 W), and I'm pretty happy about it since I'm only a freshman and didn't really prep for it.</p>

<p>i dont know lol i think like 192 but i quit during the end of it because everyone was already done and i didnt know that it was important..in fact they told us "you are going to take a test today, don't worry it isnt that hard and it doesnt matter much"</p>
<p>seriously..the day before is the first i heard of it, and they said it was just a barometer of what you might score on the sat (which my counselor didnt even know how to sign up for...)..</p>
<p>so yeah i didnt try because i though it was just another random test</p>
<p>now im pretty ****ed at my school because of it but oh well..</p>
<p>for those of you wondering what the cutoff is for NMS (sorry if someone posted this already, i didn't read the entire thread) last year, when i was a junior, i was in the 99th percentile (don't remember the exact number) and i got NMS-commended. not even semifinals. :( so you basically have to get 99th percentile to even have a chance.</p>
<p>course this is for my school where there were two semifinalists and like seven commended students... maybe they cut it off by school??</p>

<p>235 (80 M, 75 CR, 80 W) as a junior. Got a 231 last year.</p>
<p>@sunfire... yeah! it's a really big honor to be a semifinalist... and actually being commended wasn't so bad either. i could still put it on my college app... and my friend got offered in-state tuition from texas A&M even th ough she's out of state cause she's a semifinalist this year...</p>
<p>205 (63CR, 77M, 65W). Not happy, only a 2 point increase from last year and I honestly thought I had done better :(.</p>

I didn't, and my advice honestly would just be to concentrate. I don't know why, but for some reason 1/2 the people I meet get nervous for tests (which I laugh at the concept, afraid of a piece of paper and markings)...and I heard them like go crazy before the test. Relax and focus, and you'll do well - the test's just like, seriously reading a bit, and bubbling in a couple answers, not about intelligence at all imo.</p>
<p>The others that I know at my school prepped by those books from companies, though.</p>

I can understand how you feel this way, but no worries, bro. As I've indicated, this test in no way measures intelligence, in fact I would say it's not even remotely related, but that might be a little stretch.</p>

<p>Got it this morning. Haha i was scared to look because I had to take finals right after it and i didnt want it to like completely ruin my mood. luckily, it didnt.
I know it's not really up to CC standards..but I tried my best and I'm quite happy with it. I guess I could've focused more..i was REALLY distracted that day but i'm ok with that</p>
