-_- when did you guys get your PSAT scores back?
My school hasn't sent them out yet...

187 56cr 70m 61wr

im an asian junior, and i got 232 last year as a sophomore... with no studying.

which is pretty fail, haha wow.

oh and for people with amazing schools... i know at least 10 people in my grade who got 230+. although i don't think anyone in my grade got 240, weirdly enough.

oh and yeah i took the sats 7/8 grade too and i got 2180 in 8th grade.

blegh my psat scores were really disappointing.

To all of you who are getting like 200+, how did you prep for it?
[/quote]

Last year (soph) I got 207 without doing anything. This year I got 226. I did tons of practice math sections. I might have done a few practice questions for CR and Writing, but, I didn't concentrate on those.

222.
I hope I can raise that if I actually study for the SAT.
Some of those words are tough!

I know THREE people who received 222s on their PSAT (including myself).

Me = Yale
Kid 1 = Yale
Kid 2 = Harvard

CONGRATULATIONS knickerbockers! Looks like great things are in store for you! Welcome to the triple 2 club (:

215 and I did better on my SAT so don't worry.
I didn't really prep. Okay, yeah I did. I took one of those free practice tests, didn't go out partying the night before, and ate breakfast the day of.

Haha I think I might ruin it for you. My GPA is 3.05 UW, 3.1W. By the time I get to applying for colleges, it'll be a 3.4 max, weighted.
Ah well, couldn't pay for it anyway.

NICE! 222!

M- 74
W- 80
CR- 68 (ewww)

i got 231 (80 M, 77 W, 74 CR), sophomore year : 190 i kinda fell asleep during the math sections, both time. my SAT score is higher, surprisingly, i did worse in math, and better in other two

I didn't even get my PSAT scores yet! But it's not like I'm going to get a Merit Scholarship. I don't think PSAT scores reflect real SAT scores. PSAT is shorter and that makes all the difference.

I think PSAT scores are generally lower, 1) because most people have more practice before taking that SAT than the PSAT, and 2) because the curve is harsher, expecially once you get near the top.

I was very dissappointed. lol. Seriously though. I was hoping for like a 220 :(

I guess to put things into perspective, I'm disappointed with a 97 percentile. lol.

my freshman geek senses detect the need for psat practice.

goes off to get prep book

looks up practice tests online

Just got my PSAT's back today, annoyed.
My scores (sophomore):
CR: 66, expecected
M: 67, amazed
W: 55, so embarrassed but I expected it since I neglected to read the one passage and answer the last 5 questions

224
m- 77
cr- 74
w- 73
wow, had i just answered one more question correctly on the math and writing questions, i would have had increased by total score by 7 points. :/

8th Grade - 154
9th AND 10th Grade - 176
Didn't take it in 11th :(

my 8th grade bro got 140 without trying on CR

157, I even tried >< but somehow I got a way lower score in math than last year. Guess having no teacher for 13 weeks kind of rubs off on you.

193 PSAT ***

but 2150 SAT, I guess I do well when it actually counts

CR-80
M-80
WR-77
Total: 237

Funny...I always considered writing my best section
