So I submitted my application to Brown this morning and checked over everything twice. Brown is my #1 school. As I am now applying to other schools, I realized I got confused when reporting the “Highest SAT Essay Score” for the New Sat (march 2016 or after). As you know, the New SAT gives you 3 essay scores, mine were 7, 5, 7. I assumed highest essay score meant highest of the three, so I reported 7. ACTUALLY you are supposed to add up all three scores and report that. I just realized this now. I feel so dumb! Is this a detrimental mistake. I sent my official scores to Brown immediately after the sitting, so they do have the real ones.
They won’t reject you because of this, and will consider the 19/24.
@hhjjlala Thank you, I feel it’s a trivial mistake, but I needed the reassurance lol. Should I email the admissions office and let them know?
No.
They’ll look st your official scores, but if it makes you feel better to email them, do it.
