Reporting Religion

I am wondering if I should report a religion to schools. Will it help? I am applying to three Jesuit schools. I was baptized Catholic, confirmed congregational, and after moving down south, go to a Presbyterian church. I am by no stretch of the imagination a strict church goer, so should I even put one down?
Thanks!

Why would you? I can’t even tell what you would put down.

Do the Jesuit schools ask for religious affiliation? If so, then you can list it as Protestant. It shouldn’t be a significant factor in admissions decisions. My daughter applied to three Catholic colleges and interviewed at all of them, and ended up discussing her religious affiliation at two of them (both of her parents are Protestant pastors). She was accepted to all three. The only place that religious affiliation may have been a factor was a scholarship competition at one of the schools - I think the full tuition scholarships went only to the Catholic applications, based on comments that were made that day. She received very generous scholarships and aid from the one she ended up attending.

@KKmama Thank you for the insight! I don’t think I will put one down because I am not that passionate about it and don’t want to be cornered in an interview when they are asking about religious experience. If I do report anything it would be congregational because that was more of a relaxed environment, more or a community gathering.

@Enima666, reporting religious affiliation at selective Jesuit schools is not necessary at all. It is strictly optional.
