Reporting SAT scores - Quick question

Son took SAT I in April '06. He put down on the form that he wanted his scores sent to Colleges A, B, C and D. Now, six months later, he's applying for Fall '07 admission to Colleges A, B, X and Y.

Should we pay $ to have his scores sent again to Colleges A and B? Or can we assume they'll still have the score report they received back in the Spring? I'm inclined to pay the money, because (i) it's not much, (ii) I really wonder whether they'll be able to find the score report from six months ago, and (iii) I have to pay to have the scores sent to Colleges X and Y in any event so what the heck.

Sound reasoning or am I wasting good money?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't bother re-sending the scores. They should be able to find them. If you have any doubts, give the admissions offices a call.

You probably are wasting good money. They should have his scores.

My D did the same, I'm assuming they got the scores and filed them. If the schools say otherwise, I'll ask the CB to send them again for free.

We are doing the same thing, and we are not paying to resend scores to the schools we listed for free.

I'd not bother to re-send the scores to A & B. He can self-report on the app & if they have lost the scores he previously sent for any reason, they'll contact him or his counselor for confirmation. If you want to call college A & B to double-check that they still have his scores on file, you can do so before deciding what to do, but I'd save the money. You'll end up spending a lot anyway with all the fees & deposits. :)
