I'm a chinese applicant. Last week, i went to duke interview with a hongkong alumni.
I call this interview disaster since the interviewee wasn't interested in me at all. during the whole session, he played with his digital camera, answered cell phone. and he only asked me questions about 20 minutes.
when he asked me what i want to do, i said something concerning with interntiaonal relations or international studies. he said duke doesn't offer that. but in fact, in my application form, i chose for interested area economics, interntional business, intel relations, intel studies. so i lost my sense. these are what i chosen from the application form, but he told me that duke doesn't have those. i became quite sad, again, whatever i talked about, he wasn't interested...
so , everyone, give me some advice, what should i do then ???
should i complain it to admission office and request a new interview??

i would call the admissions office and tell them about your experience... it seems like complete ********. ask if you can get that one thrown out and replaced with a different interview.

thats what i would do.

yeah, i wrote to the admisson office just now.
Though my interviewee has got effective email respond, but my interview doesn't go well as I expected. so I request another interview. but due to i'm chinese, there won't be many interviewee available, so I'm quite sad and worried about it.

gah, i'm sorry to hear that!

the interview is sometimes negligible, so i wouldn't necessarily worry.
