I go to a school known for lots of duke applicants, so an interviewer comes on campus every year. I, however, have already conducted an interview with another duke alum. I wasn't satisfied with the way that one went, so would it be possible to get another one?

if you desire a second interview, i think that you would get it, just call your local admissions rep.

I don't know about Duke particularly. My DD did request and got 2nd interview from another top tier school.

She was real sick at the time of her first interview and coudl not concentrate. That interview ended within 15 minutes. W/o consulting anyone else, DD called up the school and requested 2nd interview.

DD had a much better conversation with the 2nd interviewer who was an adm from that school. Also, her first interviewer was there interviewing another student. Of course she remembered my D and they had a quick talk too.

If you want another shot, you better ask for it.

Well, the thing is, the first interview actually went really really well. In fact, after my interview, Duke sort of emerged as a clear-cut first choice, but I couldn't switch to ED. I want to show Duke that their school is 1st now.
