I plan on requesting a roommate for the fall semester in which I have already met and we have discussed rooming and we seem like it would work living together. She is in a major where she has to live in one specific dorm complex, but it isn’t specific for her major. Will this affect our chances of being roommates and also, is it likely that we will be put together since the requesting is mutual? We don’t want to end up being assigned a random roommate/
Hi - my son is a freshman and requested to room with his friend. The friend is a Biology major and my son is Exercise Science. The Bio majors are all in George Reed and although they did not promise they would be placed together, they were, along with a third room mate in a forced triple (many of them in George Reed this year). So it worked out fine for them - they actually take the same bio and chem courses this year anyway even though their majors are different. The third room mate (a local resident) moved back home after 1st semester so now they just have a double. Have a great year!
