Require Materials...

After applying over a week ago, I checked in on the status of my application. Only one out of four schools have acknowledged they have received my application and my high school transcripts, but not my LOR. How long, on average, does a school take to inform the applicant that they have received all of the required materials? (Note: I have read the policies of each school and they do not adequately specify the time it takes to receive the documents). I am only writing this post because the deadline is next Saturday (Nov. 1 is Sunday, obviously, and mail is not sent on that day).

Do schools also follow-up on their policies that state if a document is POSTMARKED by the EA deadline, but not received until afterward, they still consider it Early Action?

Just a little worried, that's all...

Too early to be worried nmcm. If any of these schools offer ED/EA and yours isn’t, then know you’re at the bottom of the priority scale. If they cash your check, they’ll process you. And if anything is missing, they’ll contact you.

Believe it or not, they want to read your app and are looking to admit you if possible. They aren’t gonna toss your stuff into a bonfire or shredder because one staple is askew or an item hasn’t yet arrived.

You aren’t disqualified for EA because you miss a deadline, either.

Enjoy your senior year and best of luck to you.

Remember, relax.
