Required Textbooks For Engineering Classes

Hi. Im an exchange student who will be studying Electrical/Electronic Engineering in UConn next year. I heard that most lecturers require that students get the textbooks for classes and i would like to know which books are required for the classes im taking so that if i already have them, i will be able to bring them over with me instead of buying new ones. I tried finding the textbook names online but i couldnt find them so I would really appreciate any replies with the names of the textbooks required. Thanks.

Here are the classes im taking:
MATH 2143Q Advanced Calculus 3.
ECE 3001 Electromagnetic fields and waves
ECE 3431 Numerical methods in scientific computation
ECE 3101 Signals and systems
ECE 4201 Electronic Circuits and Applications
ECE 4131 Digital signal processing
ECE 4111 Communication systems
ECE 4211 Semiconductor Devices and Nanostructures
CSE 1102 Object Oriented Design and Programming
ECE 4242 Micro/Opto-electronic Devices and Circuits Fabrication Laboratory

You can use this service to find what textbooks you need for each class. It generally varies from one semester to another, so you won’t know which ones you’ll need for a while.

Also, is there a reason why you have such a specific list of classes you want to take? You’re missing some pre-requisites for the higher level ECE classes, ie ECE 2001W. Also, I’m pretty sure they won’t let you take Advanced Calculus 3 without 1 and 2. Even if you think you have equivalent credits, they won’t let you do it. It’s a really strict program, and I’d doubt they’d let you jump into the third semester of it.

Your advisor will hopefully help you with a lot of these things when you get here. Hopefully you get one who knows what he’s doing, because the process of signing up for classes is really strange here. If your advisor doesn’t care about undergraduates, try and talk to find some EE majors to talk to for advice.

That’s a cool service to look up textbooks! Nothing there yet for mech eng for Fall 2013 but I’m assuming that will change as time goes on.
