I am hoping to gp to a US bs for 10th grade next year, but would I need to have had all the vaccinations required to enter public school normally?
The only vaccination of any kind I've had is swine flu last year, and I will probably have had HPV (cervical cancer) by september.

@UKgirl,

Let’s not put the cart before the horse. Vaccinations are not a criterion for admissions, as are grades and test scores.

First get admitted into a US BS.

Then decide to matriculate into the school. When you officiall COMMIT to matriculation by paying a deposit, the school will then send you a list of required vaccinations and give you time during the summer for you to go get the missing vaccinations.

Just want to let you know your not the only one wondering about Vaccinations. My doctor is already going ahead and giving my vaccinations to me. They are pretty much the same as normal Public School, but because we are living with so many other kids they are giving us stuff that are for things that spread around easily.

It is like how vets give the Kennel Cough vaccination to dogs who live with or are often around many other dogs (usually competition dogs), but vets don’t often require it for normal pets.

The exact vaccination names and getting it I would not worry about. The school will send it to you, plus I agree that you still have to get in. Don’t worry about putting the cart before the horse thing though, because many kids are already checking out things for their dorms when it isn’t even near decision time yet lol

I know for a fact that I’m going to a boarding school, because I was practically accepted by one already, so I have my back up.

I know I’ve got a long way to go, I was just been wondering for a while if its something I might need to do. More curiosity than anything.
Thanks for the replies anyway :)
