My student found that she is slightly under the SAT requirement for a major she may be interested in. Do you know if the SAT requirement for certain majors is strictly adhered to? If so, would we anticipate that she would have to re-sit the SAT?

Please provide a LINK to the SAT requirements for each major .
Thanks.

yeah, it would be helpful if you specified which major you're talking about...

i had no idea any majors had an sat requirement.

I haven't heard of majors having an SAT requirement...

I'm unaware of an SAT requirement for any major at UR. The only thing that I can think of is for the Honors Law program, which requires a 1350 (CR+M). But that is a guaranteed admission program to our law school, not a major. The Leadership Studies major does require admission (students apply during the fall semester of sophomore year), but there is not a test score cut-off. No Richmond student has ever been denied access to a major based on their SAT score. If you've found info to the contrary someplace, please let me know where it is so I can investigate.

An education minor was the only thing requiring a certain score that I found.
University of Richmond Arts & Sciences: Education Looks as though you need an 1100.

Sorry for the late response. Yes, this is the link I was going to provide. It is for admission to the Teacher Preparation Program.

You should probably call the Department of Education and speak to someone about the specifics, then.
