Res Hall VS Plazaaaaa

Someone is going to kill me for starting this thread.
Yes, I have already read nearly all of the housing thread's 29745 pages.

I still can't make up my mind! Help?
So here is the thing, I am stuck between rooming at a res hall and at a Plaza.

I hear that nearly all incoming freshman will have three occupants per room.
So if this is a fact, I am considering a three occupant plaza because the three occupant res hall room's are SOOO cramped! AND there is no AC! :(

Butttt I am pretty social, and want to meet tons of new friends! I hear this may be difficult at a plaza.

So what do I pick? Cramped Hot and SOCIAL Res Hall? Or less cramped but less social Plaza? ( oh, btw, the later will be $2,000 more!)

Comments suggestions inputs outputs!? Anything would help! This housing application is due in a few days!!

Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuu!!

you can pick whichever one you wantttttttttt. you will be living there not ussssssssss.

plazas are not necessarily completely dead, it depends heavily on your floor mates and RA’ssssssssssssssssss. its not that hot during most of the school year, so no AC isnt TOO big of an issueeeeeeeeeee.

you can have whatever you liiiiiiike.

anyways i chose plaza first and second year. my house (courtside) was extremely social and we all got along and hung out. i was also able to study in the big lounges and really appreciated the quiet (for the most part) during midterms/finals.

i liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike to stretch words toooooooooooooooooo

i think you shouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuld try the res hall the first year, it is an interesting exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxperience

pick the hot and less social SUITE

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

I stayed at the De Neve plaza for a summer workshop a couple summers ago and I really liked it. It had a bathroom in the room (im not a fan of community showers) and it felt like a very small hotel room. So if you don’t mind having to be a little more proactive in friend-finding then I’d go with a plaza…

way to break the trend nodnarbbbbbbbbbb

Oh. Sorrrrrrrrrrrrry

Plazzzza are bettter…Ifff youuu suckkkk at making friendsssss it doesn’t matttter where you livee…so you wonttt have any problemssss making friendsssss even if you live in a plazzzza as long as you are ‘socialllll’ enough

^

what heeeeeeeeee or sheeeeeeeee said…

Thanks for the help; I’m glad you all enjoyed respondingggggg to this thread.

youll probably get a halllllllllllllllll anyways LOOOOOl

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
was assigned a tripple at de neve
anyone wanna trade for a res hall (:

icyfresh - is that a plaza?

de neve is most certainly a plaza

hey. i’m a girl and i have a triple in dykstra. i am looking for someone who’d switch with me who lives in deneve. if you don’t mind waiting until october to do the official room swap, i would love to switch with you. =]

Just pick to be in a hall. You’ll be able to manage. And then if you decide that you want a plaza later, the plaza will seem that much nicer.

Jesus, reviving old threads.
