I'm not too worried about it, but my dad wanted me to ask.

I'm not doing too great in AP Calculus right now. My first semester grade in the class was a B and I got a C for third quarter. Fourth quarter shouldn't be bad. I think I'll get a B. All my other grades are A's. My dad is freaking out and thinks I'm going to get my acceptance revoked or something. Not gonna happen..right? Haha

Not going to happen. I got a D and C in calc last year and got accepted, a B in calc is not going to get your admission revoked.

You’ll only be in serious trouble if your GPA falls below a 2.5, which a B is obviously not going to do.

I think your fine. Your grades overall sound good.

I would be a little cautious, though since the rest of your grades are A’s probably won’t increase chances of revoke by a lot.

^ One B is not going to get anybody revoked. Give me a break, you have NOTHING to be worried about.

Seriously, even U of M won’t revoke your admission for a single B. Coolbrezze, what would the OP have to be cautious about? He has no chance of being admission being revoked because of a single B. Don’t make the OP worry about nothing.

PS: OP, many of your other posts refer to U of Mich. You realize you’re on the MSU forum right? Just making sure… My answer still stands though if you are talking about UMich.

Well it’s obvious in the college process one needs to be cautious. Though I did also state revoke chances probably will not increase by much due to a B.

Haha yes. I applied to both, UMich being my top choice. I got deferred originally and then got waitlisted.

I’m like 80% sure I’m going to MSU though.

But thanks for the info! My dad is a freak about things like this.

Haha no problem. Yeah, you have absolutely nothing to worry about and you’ll love MSU :)

Listen up…MSU WILL take away your admission if you get 2 D’s. They could care less about anything else or why it happened. They will give you no warning…NOTHING! Even after you are all registered with your classes and have your student I.D. A few weeks away from move in also does not matter. You will suddenly find your student info account deleted.
Good Luck and work hard.

Yes… Your admission is contingent on lady semester grades. They make that clear. You screw up, your admission gets revoked.

This thread is three years old.

Last* semester, not lady semester lol

Hello,

I know this post is about a year old but I was curious.
If I get a D for the first semester and another D the second Semester (Two D’s will be shown on my transcript) will my acceptance get revoked?

Well it depends, where you applied and if you were already offered admission. I’m just a parent so I dunno. But my advice is, if there was a reason you got the D’s besides just not getting the material or not doing the work, explain it to the college. I mean if something personal happened in your life like a death in the family or a health issue. We learned this the hard way…hopefully it will all work out for you.
