<p>So, I got in to Purdue Early Action for Computer Science. I screwed up on AP Calculus AB second semester and will end up with a D+. My gpa was a 3.3 in the first seven semesters. Does anyone know Purdue's policy for rescinding, and would I get rescinded for this drop? I decided a long time ago that I would retake Calc 1 in college. This would be my only D. And if they review my application, will they consider my background? I went through a lot of tough times my first semester.</p>
<p>My older brother got a D in that same class. Purdue called, just to see why, and once he explained that he had gone in for tons of help and he planned on taking an algebra/trig refresher course (he had holes in his math because of poor teachers), Purdue was fine with it. He took a calculus class sophomore year and got an A! Hopefully your situation is just as easily resolved!</p>
