Well I really messed up third quarter and my grades went from 3 As, 2 A-, 2 B+ to 2 As, 3 B+, and 2 Bs. It looks like that’s how my grades will end up at the end of the year as well since we’re on a rolling gradebook. Do you think I will get rescinded? It’s not like I was purposefully slacking off, it’s just third quarter is hard. Does anyone actually know anyone who got rescinded?
I don’t think that’s going to cut it. You have to try harder.
If you want to get rescinded, you are going to need at least some Cs, but probably some Ds also.
no
The year before DS went to college, he was told of a young woman who was accepted ED, but weeks later, she was arrested / expelled from her HS for dealing drugs. Her admission was rescinded.
Sorry to hear you got a couple of B’s in senioritis time of the year…
B’s will not get your rescinded so keep working hard and keeping your grades at that level.
Every year our HS sends seniors a packet of letters rescinding acceptances, putting incoming students on academic probation etc. that former students in the HS had received (names blocked out of course) so it can and does happen. The general rule stated on CC is to avoid D’s, F’s or felonies and you should be fine. My kids were sure to keep their grades in the B range to avoid any possible issues.
@3puppies Being arrested for drugs is a different case. But to be rescinded on academic grounds is rare. The OP is not in danger of having their admission revoked.
@exlibris97 , I agree with you, the OP is not in any danger.
I was responding to the other part of the OP’s question -
