How many ED acceptances get rescinded every year? How bad is bad? Would they rescind based on a midyear report, or give a warning? My first semester GPA is about 3.4, down from 4.0 junior, 3.75 cumulative. The lowest midyear grade is a C+, then a B, then the rest are B+/A-. Am I in danger? :-(

The courses I'm taking this year are ridiculously hard (all APs) and the class averages are low... my effort hasn't changed... I'm definitely going to improve second semester.

you need lower then like a 80 average to probably get a warning, and lower than a lower than a 70 to get rescinded, most of us on here have never even gotten a 70 or even close to a 70

my mid year:
(unweighted)
BC Calc: 99.7
AP Physics C: 97
Network Design and Engineering: 98
AP English: 91
AP Government: 88
AP German: 84

average unweighted: 93%

ive barely put any work into govt and german, just enough for the B

You're overreacting. They usually give people a WARNING who have like ALL C's--they EXPECT you to relax a little in terms of school work...esp. ED people. Calm down and chill! You earned it! :D

NO YOU"RE NOT IN DANGER SHUT THE F UP! lol just kidding, but seriously, you're an A student still, you're def not in danger. Lots of people get in with a B average, so dropping from an A to an A- is fine.

Mercury, you're DEFINITELY not in danger. I can empathize with you on the whole worrying thing, but keep in mind it's only because you (most likely) worked for perfection the last three years. I personally get a kick out of pulling a B on a government test I never read the chapter for. It's a NEW kind of challenge to make the remaining months of high school more interesting! A true measure of innate intelligence, persay. :) I suggest all those accepted ED try it if you haven't already!

Haha... the funny thing is, I never studied for anything in high school, and I pulled straight As in difficult classes... but what makes me nervous is when the same strategy applied senior year yields a C+ and Bs... it's just kind of ironic that now I have to put in the effort, now that I'm already in college.
