Barnard is an elite school, and I’m sure it can easily rescind admitted students! I’ve been an A student up until now… Well French is killing me. I did horribly on my midterm, and I think I will be getting a 75. However, I have 85-90s in all other subjects. Will this one 75 get me rescinded? I’m very scared. If I get rescinded, I don’t know where else I can go.
Please give me some advice :)

How does a 75 translate to a grade? Is that a C or a D? Can you talk to your French teacher about doing some sort of extra credit assignment to bring up your grade to at least a C?

Keep up your grades in your other courses. You might want to call someone at Barnard to ask about their policies – Barnard is a really supportive school – they are not punitive – so don’t be afraid to tell them that you have a problem that you want to solve.

Good advice from Calmom. I think you would have to do really badly in a class (like a D or failure) to have your admission called into question. Even then, you might have to make up a class when you started Barnard, or something.

But, as Calmom said, you should talk to your teacher, keep up your other grades and call Barnard if you have further questions.
