If the only courseload taken is IB, what are the chances of a college rescinding its acceptance if a student scores considerably lower than their predicted grades (like 7-8 point drop) but they still gain the diploma?

bumppppppp reply please!

Colleges don’t seem to rescind offers too often. Usually nothing happens if your course grades stay constant and only exam scores turn out lower than expected. (American students fail AP exams all the time with no negative consequences on their college acceptance.) You may not get college credits or advanced course placement though if your exams scores are too low.

If your course grades dropped as well, you may be asked for a statement explaining the drop in performance. If the college goes one step further, they may start you out on academic probation (which may limit the number of courses you can enroll in or mandate extra meetings with an adviser over the course of the semester).

Thanks

Rescinding doesnt happen a lot. Only school that does a bit more often is stanford but idt some drop in score will rescind your admission.
