Rescinding Admission

I was accepted ED to CMU, however first semester I will probably end up with 3 A's and 4 B's.
I am just wondering, what are the conditions for CMU to rescind admission, for both first semester and second semester?
I also feel like I am overly paranoid about getting rescinded, I just really don't want to mess up anything.

You are overly paranoid. If you check the Admissions Facebook Page for last April~May, you’ll see an admissions officer saying that as long as you don’t fail more than one class you’re fine. FAIL

Well, i know second semester you can slide, but being accepted before first semester ended, the rd admission decisions are still being made, so im feel my first semester grades are still important

Your grades are fine. Stop. This thread is silly.

There’s a ton of such threads last year this time and in May.

You will not be rescinded --even if you got 5 Cs!

They will send you a note if there are a ton of Ds and an F and may put you on academic probation.

As we wrote last year this time.

The grades do matter if you are a strong contender for any of the scholarships we’ve noted-- these are merit based. So you As need to remain if you are that type of walk on water person that might be under consideration.

Also as I said last year-- what is more important than actual High School grades at this point is how well you do on your AP exams. You want 5s as nothing else will transfer. You don’t want to retake Calc (there’s also a placement exam), Chem, Physics or give up the chance to avoid GEs if you can through AP English, history, econ, etc.
SO PAY ATTENTION in your AP classes and everything else, don’t worry (unless of course your parents will disown you- that’s your problem)
