I have been accepted to the University of Washington and also committed to the school, but I'm worried about my second semester grades. At what point, in terms of grades or GPA, does the UW consider rescinding admission? I currently have a C in AP Calc and a C+ in AP Chem, not because I've slacked but because they're difficult classes for me. I have A's in my three other AP's, but will this look bad when they review my final grades?

Anything above a C- is fine. Uni’s usually rescind admissions if they have a lot people on their waitlist. Before they even consider rescinding your application, they’ll send you a “warning letter” which basically says that you need to improve your grades. If you haven’t received one yet, then there is no need to worry. In all honesty, universities only take a quick glance at final grades to make sure there are no dropped or failed classes.

Will it look bad? Yes. Will your admission be rescinded? No.
