Has anyone ever gotten one D+ first semester of senior year (rest are As and Bs) and kept their acceptance without being requested an explanation or anything? The class where this may happen is AP Calc BC.
Specifically talking about large public schools, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State. Thanks!
Also If anyone has ever been rescinded or knows of anyone who has, if you don’t mind please post the reason and school if possible! Thanks again.
Why on earth does it matter “if anyone” has done this? Assuming the person with the D+ is you, what matters is what these schools will do with you. Not what happened to the friend of someone’s cousin.
The best approach is to work with your GC to contact the schools immediately and let them know of your grade. They may (and probably will) ask for an explanation. Facing up to one’s problems is a mature approach, and adcoms recognize this. All too often what kids here do is nothing, letting the school they have submitted their acceptance to find out over the summer when they send in their final transcript. At that point it is too late, should the D matter, to do anything to make it up.
