Research in high school

Does it look impressive if you're doing two research projects in high school? Or is it better to stick with one?

Yah, I mean do more than what you can handle. But it will definitley be impressive

I mean dont do more

Depends. If you’re working in two labs at the same time and do an OK job, then it’s not that great. If you work in one lab one year and one lab another, then I think that’s fine. If you don’t do that, that’s fine too.
There are plenty of kids who don’t do research projects at all…

I question whether with two you can give each adequate time, but if you like both, might as well stick to it. Take with grain of salt.

What do you mean by research?? I always read peoples’ posts about doing research and how it’s impressive, but they never actually say what they doo

When I say research I mean working on an actual project with a PhD professor at a university. The project is one that the professor gives you. You do the lab work and try to analyze results.

@moonman676,
Thanks! But what do you mean by

If you work in one lab one year and one lab another year wouldn’t that look “scattered” and perhaps unfocused? If you do two projects in different labs in the same year does that show interest in research?

Again, thanks to all who replied!
