<p>Ok Im working on the stupid senior research paper in english. My topic is "Social Satire in Charles Dickens Novels and Poems".... I was just wondering if anyone knew of some good sites or books that I could use.</p>

<p>I read, sort of read actually, Great Expectations for one of my AP english summer assignments. Dickens has quite a bit of satire of social class satire and mocks the British government. It may be a little hard to see where he is ridiculing the government since I doubt that many American high school kids are experts on 19th Century English Politics, but there are certain places where it's somewhat obvious. And to see where those are, you can always check spark notes like the above poster said.</p>
<p>I've never read anything by Dickens and i wont have any time to do so (we're currently reading the massive "Sarum" and "And then there were none"). I hate the fact that i still have to do stuff like this when im going to be either a biochem or chemE major in college....</p>
