Residence Hall Linens

Just got a mail packet from a company selling sheets, towels, pillows, etc for the dorm room as a package.

The company is at www.rhl.org.

Has anyone used them or know anyone that has?

We haven’t even started looking at these types of things yet and don’t know if it’s a good deal or a bad one.

Comments?

I wouldn't do it for several reasons. The sheet thread count is not listed and they could be really lousy sheets. They include a pillow but most people like a specifc type of pillow. An egg crate mattress??? That's weird if you're not used to them (and hard to store if you don't like it). It includes only 2 long towels and 1 handtowel -- eww.

If you wanted to order online, I'd go with a known company: Target, Linens and Things, Bed Bath Beyond, Walmart.

See these threads from the Parent Cafe. There are several strategies for getting bulky linens to college.
