residence halls full :/ ?

"We have “closed” Residence Life/Non-Corps housing for both men and women for Fall 2011 at Texas A&M University. Sorry, but right now the residence halls are full. There is a chance that the housing application will be tuned back on for a very short period AFTER May 15th depending on how many students cancel. At the bottom of this page you may request to be notified if it is to be turned back on"
APRL 12

Anybody got the same problem? XD

Yeah, I was waiting to apply with my friend, he took forever, turns out he is not even going to A&M anymore. Not cool. I’m starting to look at off campus housing as a back up plan

where exactly did you see this?

It’s the message that comes up when you currently try to apply for on-campus housing.

i just saw this  but i have a scholarship so i’m receiving temporary housing. i am not liking the idea if it :/

You can live off campus cheaper. Just get involved because you won’t be meeting as many people as you would have in a dorm.

It’s terrible that they are full so early this year. If you can afford to pay a little more check out the private dorms which are technically off-campus, but so close they are basically on-campus. The two close ones are Calloway & The Tradition at Northgate. There’s another one named Cambridge, but I’ve heard it’s further away. You can get a meal plan and they even will pack a sack-lunch for you to take to school so you don’t have to rush back to eat.

I’d pick the Calloway over the other two. The Tradition’s food is terrible and the Cambridge is farther away.
