I applied to SAIC and SVA on the 1st for photography, I've already received an email from SAIC telling me that my letter is on its way. The response was incredibly fast, should I be worried? Also, does anyone have a ballpark idea of when we'll start hearing back from schools applied to on the 1st?

FYI, most of us have no clue what SAIC or SVA are … You may get more help by calling that school’s admissions office directly.

Sorry, School of Visual Arts, and School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Ah, thank you. You posted this question in the overall “Admissions” section, but if you re-post in the “visual arts” section of this discussion forum you may get a response from someone more familiar with the processes of visual art and art schools.

Hi
I can tell you what I know. SAIC have been super fast in response.
Some schools’ administration is not as good as others and sometimes lose material submitted or claim they have not received. Worse yet they would not notify you until you’d take initiative.
If you are concerned in any way, you should contact them and ask if they have received everything, also when you could be expected to hear from them.
