Hi guys, i was admitted to both UCLA and RPI as a molecular biology major. I really cant decide between UCLA and RPI because while UCLA has a higher ranking(something my parents value, for some strange reason) and closer to home, RPI has a very good undergrad business program(which i am want to double major in along with molecular bio). Another concern is that i have to pay 15k for RPI, along with a 7k loan every year; UCLA, however, offered me a full ride. With this economy, i really cant just take a bet on a (expensive!) school and just go with it. Can you guys help me out here? Gimme some reason why i should choose one school over the other.

ucla will have the better looking females by far

UCLA sounds like a whole lot better offer.

UCLA’s undergrad business program is also world-renowned. It doesn’t even make sense comparing UCLA with RPI especially if you have a FULL RIDE to UCLA.

At first I thought this was a ■■■■■ post. Full ride to UCLA vs. paying money to go to RPI??? Really? That’s self explanatory. The real question is how did you manage to get money out of UCLA (being UCLA and all and also a state school so they are slightly stingy) and not RPI? That is what is boggling.

UCLA doesn’t have an undergrad business program. We do offer a business econ program.

A undergrad business degree usually won’t give a huge boost to your career, however, and you would probably still have to go back for an MBA so it isn’t too big of a deal if you pick a random major instead.

No, i am not ■■■■■■■■. I applied instate so of course i got a bunch of awards and stuff to attend UCLA. The only reason why im even considering RPI in the first place is because they have a undergrad business program and that they have a academic acceleration program that gives its graduates a b.s in bio and a b.a in business.
