Restricted Classes

Most colleges have certain (especially upper level) classes that are restricted to a major. So a few questions about Brown:

Does Brown’s open curriculum allow students in a different concentration access to upper level classes (given that they have taken the pre-requisites)?

Do people within a concentration have a priority when taking more popular classes?

Priority is by class year, not major for most classes. For example, in the spring, rising seniors will have access to the registration portal for a few days, then rising juniors, then everyone else. Many of the popular upper level classes are usually filled by juniors and seniors by the time sophomores and freshman register.
