Resume--a few questions

I am doing a common app. resume/activity list for Yale, Princeton, Amherst, Middlebury, and Dartmouth. The one I have is 2 full pages. Would it be best to submit it in the mail or to cut down on it and put it in add'l info section? In addition to normal extracirriculars and whatnot,it has a summer experiences category with three memorable events from the past 2 summers: a 3 week trip to France with a friend, an acting camp, and the National Speech/Debate Tournament with short descriptions. It also has a hobbies and interests section (I'm really not sure about this). This has things like reading novels ("Outside of class read mainly science fiction novels. Love anything philosophically engaging, including occasional ventures into philosophy texts/articles/theses."), watching movies ("Enjoy movies that intellectually or emotionally challenge or move me and cause me to reflect on my own life. I love classics, especially Akira Kirosawa and Stanley Kubrick."), hiking (Mostly in summer at Glacier National Park.), and skiiing ("In winter at Big Mountain Ski Resort."). Is this part dumb/pretentious/unnessessary or will it help?

I like the sound of your vacations part - but the interests seems pushing it - you know?

Your looking for a college not a date =)

I'm not a real expert on this but I decided I would give you my opinion and bump your thread =)

Wow! i think you should cut it down to the activities which really meant something to you because you might actually annoy the admissions officers making them have to read such a long resume.... hmm... just my opinion.
