RESUME with Application"

Are you suppose to send in a resume with your application? Most of the apps I'm filling out don't give much room for all things that need to be included. I have read a few suggestions from people on this site who say it is almost standard to send in a resume with your application. Is this true???? I thought they wouldn't want to see anything they didn't ask for.

So confused !!!!!!!!!

You're definitely not supposed to. But if you don't have enough room on the app to fit all of your significant ECs, or if you have some that may need to be explained in more detail, a resume is a good idea.

Unless a school prohibits it, why not send it? there's only upside. To cite one concrete example, on the JHU CC forum the Hopkins admissions rep specifically says they encourage a resume to be submitted, that it helps them asses an applicant. My son's HS tells all seniors to prepare and submit a resume with each app... the counseling dept sends it to the schools along with transcript, GC rec, etc. if directed by the student to do so.
