Resume writing?

Whats the best way to write a resume if you've never worked before ?

Are you in any clubs or extracurricular activities? And, is your resume geared towards internships or part-time jobs?

Geared towarded a work-study job, probably an office one. And just one or two high school clubs, nothing much.

You should do a functional resume, which is a resume which basically de-emphasizes work history and highlights the skills you have; however, most employers prefer chronological. But, since it is for a college job, it shouldn’t be a problem. In a functional resume you would have a standard resume heading then list your education, computer knowledge, communication skills…etc I’m sure if you goggle “functional resume” or “resumes for high school students” you’ll find a lot of good examples, and I’ll be happy to look over your resume if you want since I’ve done a number of them since I started college last year.

What are some good example of computer skills?

Microsoft word, excel, works, powerpoint, photoshop, pagemaker...If you know how to surf the web and do research you can write "Internet Applications." If you are a fast typer, then you can mention how many words you can type per minute.

How do you measure how fast you can type a minute? Is there a program or some book on that?

There are programs that will test your typing speed and accuracy. I can't remember any specific programs though (It's been a while; the last time I used one was in grade 7 computers class!)
