My first time in December I got a 2130 (680 CR/800 M/650 W).
I took it in May and got a 2260 (700/760/800). That gives me a superscore of 2300 (700/800/800). Should I retake it and try to get the CR up to a 750? I know a lot of schools don't consider the writing. So should I retake it or is it seriously not a big deal? I know I can get at least a 730, I was getting that on practice tests.

And yes I probably look like a moron right now, but this is a serious question. The distribution of my scores is not ideal. If I retake it, it will be next November.

Woow this is tough. Maybe you should take to show that you don’t want to lag in one subject, But also taking it over makes it look like you just want a perfect score and I’ve heard stories of people like that who get rejected from schools like Yale. This really is tough, but my best advice is to take it over and maybe explain somewhere in your application that you just wanted a better CR score or try to make it up by getting a good score on English subject test.

best of luck :)

I’m just going to say that scores aren’t everything. As WriterColumbia pointed out, scores of students with high scores are turned out every year. I did not have a perfect score or even a 2300 and I did fine.
