One of my potential majors is Economics, and normally I wouldn't have an issue with a 750...but considering how lenient the math ii curve is, I feel like it could possibly detract from my app? I mean when I took practice tests from the blue book I got an 800, so idk what happened on test day. I have an AP calc AB score of 5 and my math section on the SAT I is an 800...would that all be enough to counterbalance the 750? ><

Also one of my top choice schools requires /EVERY/ score to be sent, so would I look crazy for retaking math ii....I mean idk how aware the officers will be of how low of a score 750 is relative to the curve of mathh ii

@Pancaked–but wouldn’t it be different since with an 800 its the same as if you were in the 99th percentile, even though they cant guarantee it ><

That’s not how percentiles work; If you have a perfect score, you have a better score than 88% of test takers, which is why you are in the 88-percentile. The 99th percentile would mean your score beats 99% of test takers, which isn’t true for an 800.

but…theoretically someone that truly is in the 99th percentile and got every single question correct and didnt miss the 6 that you can miss to get an 800…doesn’t the 88th percentile kid that gets shoved int he same group with them have equal advantage? .-.

You’ve had 4 members, 2 senior, tell you that your 750 is fine. You can continue to believe that 50 pts is going to make or break your application and keep on arguing, or you can relax and put your energies into more important things (keeping your grades up, essays, ECs, enjoying sr year, etc.).
