<p>Do colleges look at a score breakdown, or just the overall score itself?</p>

<p>It's really not necessary. I think that many colleges do look at a score breakdown. Some don't even consider the writing portion.</p>
<p>Unless you feel that 2260 is a bad score, you don't have to retake it. Good job on that essay score of 12.</p>

make sure all your sat II's are done with</p>
<p>and when you got that through, sure why not? if you really love tests, go for it, it can't really hurt ! ^_^ (especially if thats your first try?)</p>

<p>No, most colleges only look at the highest scores. I don't know which schools only consider the latest scores.</p>
<p>I would have said it was an easy decision to retake, if you want to apply to the best schools. But, maybe not for a film major.</p>

when i got a 2150, i didnt retake it because i knew that it correctly reflected my skills. but my friend who got a 2180 retook it cuz he believed that he could have done better and he pulled of a 2300.</p>
