I take it back. Sephiroth226 is Hispanic. For him it might not matter.

That was a crude answer.

I didn't say there wasn't a difference. What I said was that it won't make a significant difference. If you were going to be rejected with a 2260 then a 2300+ won't do you much more good. If they don't want you because of who you are then a 2400 won't save you, but if they like you because your essays, EC's, recs, etc were unique and noteworthy then a 2260 won't keep you out.

If you say so it must be true.

it just annoys me when people say that admissions is all about sat score...because it certainly isnt. When you are part of the top group of kids, which im assuming most of us are, the scores arent really important because we are all, for the most part capable of doing ivy league caliber work. to me, the difference between a 680 and 720 is negligible... i mean i can see a difference between a 2000 and a 2350, but a 2260 is a fabulous score...no worries. I have many friends who are in at harvard, brown, and yale, all of which scored below 2300.

oh, and ps, Sephiroth226, i agree completely with you

SAT Score doesn't matter for you now.

You are in range at top schools, go work on an essay or an activity your passionate about.

If you could get a 2400 that would help, otherwise, don't worry about it.

I would retake it, but that is just me.

retake... as a total your score is great.. but if u can bring up your math and writing about 20-30 points each.. you'll be at 2300 and have 750+ on all sections.

I wouldn't retake it- 2260 is perfectly good for top schools. 800 on CR is hard ... and 12 on essay... good job :]
